BLUE LOBSTER SEAFOOD
SETTING: Décor is low-key, with unusual etchings and bronze items of marine life, in additions, there are two quaintly decorated rooms for private dining.
FOOD: located in Katong, Blue Lobster is well worth the drive from town. Scallops are thick, delicately seared, exhibiting hickory marine notes in symphony with a tangy sauce.
Prawn are blanched and brushed with light mayo stripes. The oysters are available fresh or prepared three different ways.
The piece de resistance is their award-winning Maine Lobster Spaghetti wherein the meat is firm, moist ang yeiding, The pasta is al dente and the Champagne sauce light, with warm savoury and herbal after-notes.
Non-marine dishes are also of epicurean standart. Foie gras comes in port wine ang gooseberry jus with sun-dried romatoes. Desserts like a fondant of Valrhona or a panacotta of coconut and strawberry ends nautical-themeds meals.
WINE: old and New World wines are available at reasonable prices. By the glass both red and wites are fresh and agreeable to discerning palates.
